Case Study: Houston Methodist

Hiring demands are at record levels, and the risk of chaotic recruiting has never been greater. That is why we built a technology-first recruiting firm for hospitals.

Background and Objective

Curehire initially connected with the amazing team over at Houston Methodist to assist in the direct hire recruitment of their Operating Room RNs. Curehire was pitted against 9 other recruiting firms in a race to find the best talent. With 4 other major hospitals in the Houston area hunting for the same talent, we knew the talent war would be a ruthless one.

Approach and Solution

The Curehire team analyzed the data of the other hospitals in the Houston area and performed in-depth research on current staff. We performed interviews, surveys with control groups of current Operating Room nurses at competitors to find out what their employment lacks and what some positive work conditions would be to consider switching positions. We proceeded to take this data back to the excellent Talent Acquisition team at Houston Methodist and tailor the engagement to target the hardest sought after roles. Using the Insights AI tool, competitor retention rates, competitor survey data, and relocation recruitment emphasized data, teams we were able to bring levels of success not seen before.

The Results

With over 46 total submissions from all vendors, Curehire was the only vendor to make successful hires. There has been a 100% offer acceptance rate and 0 candidates to leave the role so far (5 months into engagement). Curehire has held a 60% local candidate ratio. As a result of this work, including the team’s advanced technological recruitment campaign and healthcare recruitment knowledge, Curehire has become a dignified and primary recruiting agency for the entire Methodist group region for Operating Rooms (100+ openings).
